Allyssa Van Hooser, LMFT

Hi, I'm Alyssa. I bring an approach to therapy in which I combine directness with warmth to allow clients feel both challenged and deeply cared for at the same time. My clinical background includes several years of experience working in substance use and eating disorder treatment, which allowed me to gain solid knowledge in the addiction and the importance of working as part of a care team.

I’ve completed specialized trainings in women’s mental health and in supporting individuals and families impacted by cancer. These areas of focus allow me to provide compassionate care through some of life’s most difficult transitions and seasons.

I aim to instill insight and confidence in every client, with an ultimate end game of insight and resilience. I make it clear from the first session that my goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients feel heard, understood, and equipped to move forward with the tools we’ve worked on in our session.
