About
Hi, I’m I’m Andrea, a Filipino-American, Tagalog-speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and founder of Wellness with Andrea Jakucs & Associates. We specialize in providing compassionate, culturally sensitive psychotherapy and online therapy for adults throughout California. Our practice offers dedicated mental health services tailored to the unique experiences of Christians and Filipino Americans seeking support with anxiety, trauma recovery, and overall wellness.
I provide compassionate, client-centered therapy for adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, or major life transitions. I help my clients understand what they’re experiencing, develop healthier coping skills, and work through the experiences that may be keeping them stuck. My approach is collaborative and empowering. I’m here to provide a safe space where clients feel heard, supported, and understood while helping them build the confidence and tools they need to move forward and create a healthier, more fulfilling life.
I work with adults, first-generation clients, professionals, parents, immigrants, and Christians. I support clients navigating anger, life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
My therapeutic style is solution-focused, trauma-informed, reflective, and collaborative. I want my clients to feel safe, heard, understood, and never judged. I want them to feel like they can truly be themselves and talk openly about what they’re going through. At the same time, I want them to feel empowered and hopeful. Therapy is not just about getting through a difficult season, but about helping clients build confidence, heal, and move forward with greater clarity and purpose.
Sessions with me are warm, collaborative, and conversational. I want therapy to feel like a safe space where you can be honest and show up as your authentic self without fear of judgment. We’ll talk through what’s going on, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work together on practical tools and strategies that you can use outside of therapy. I tailor each session to your individual needs, so you can expect a balance of being heard, gaining insight, and taking meaningful steps toward healing and personal growth.
Over time, my hope is that clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, stronger coping skills, and more confidence in navigating life’s challenges. They can learn to recognize unhealthy patterns, process past experiences, improve their relationships, and feel more grounded emotionally. Ultimately, I want clients to leave therapy feeling empowered, resilient, and better equipped to live a healthier, more meaningful life with greater clarity and purpose.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy going to concerts, biking, and snowboarding.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to change, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy can be a place to slow down, feel heard, and better understand what you’re experiencing. I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and without judgment, while helping you develop the tools, confidence, and insight to move forward. You deserve support, and I’d be honored to be part of your journey toward healing and a more fulfilling life.
