Hi, I’m Amanda. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing individual and couples therapy to adults and older teens. I have experience supporting LGBTQ+ and gender-expansive clients, neurodivergent and ADHD clients, and people navigating identity exploration, relationships, family dynamics, burnout, life transitions, and sexuality.
My clinical work is grounded in relational, trauma-informed, feminist, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches. I also have professional experience in sex education and community-based mental health work. I provide a collaborative, affirming space where clients can slow down, make sense of what they’re experiencing, and better understand themselves without having to fit into someone else’s expectations.
I especially enjoy working with adults and older adolescents who are exploring identity, relationships, life transitions, intimacy, sexuality, family relationships, or a greater understanding of themselves. I frequently support clients navigating stress, grief, burnout, neurodivergence, gender and sexuality, relationship concerns, family and cultural expectations, and the challenges of feeling misunderstood or out of place.
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, curious, and reflective. I see therapy as a partnership and believe clients are the experts on their own experiences. I bring thoughtful questions, compassion, and curiosity while creating space for clients to feel genuinely seen, respected, and accepted.
Sessions with me are conversational and guided by what feels most important to you that day. Together, we may explore patterns, relationships, identity, emotions, or current challenges while building greater self-understanding, self-trust, and more authentic ways of moving through life.
Outside of therapy, I love reading, writing, art, and exploring the connections between culture, history, identity, and the stories we tell about ourselves and one another.
If you’re considering therapy, you don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out. We can begin with curiosity about what’s happening in your life and what you’re hoping might feel different. If that sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, I’d be glad to connect.
