Hi, I’m Dr. Jazmin Burns. I have worked in various settings doing neurodevelopmental and mental health evaluations. I also do immigration and naturalization evaluations, PCIT, and run PEERS Social Skills Groups. I work with patients across the lifespan.

I help patients by meeting them where they are and supporting them every step of the way, from intake to even after an evaluation is completed. I remind patients that I am there for them as part of their care team, and I help them advocate for themselves and their children by providing psychoeducation in order to empower them.

While I love working with all ages, I especially love working with kids ages 0-5 because this is such a great age range to reach children, get them early intervention services, and set them up for success.

I support patients seeking diagnostic clarification, such as understanding whether they are autistic, have ADHD, are experiencing social anxiety, are AuDHD, and more. I also work with improving social skills, as well as improving parent-child relationships.

My style is warm, collaborative, humorous, empowering, gentle, and compassionate. I want patients to feel safe and comfortable sharing whatever they need to share with me. Many of my patients typically end sessions saying, “Wow, this wasn’t as scary as I thought it’d be. You made this feel so safe, and your voice is so calm.” Every time I hear this, it warms my heart because that is how I want all my patients to feel. I want them to leave feeling heard and safe.

I hope patients gain confidence, peace, advocacy skills, and coping skills.

Outside of my work, I am passionate about my family, helping others, creative writing, and traveling.
