Michelle Gagnon, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

LMFT #164065

Hi, I’m Michelle. I interned and worked as an associate with current and former unhoused foster youth at the Los Angeles LGBT Center for three years, where I specialized in the treatment of trauma with TF-CBT and EMDR. I am currently with CopeHouse Collective, offering specialties in the treatment of OCD, creative blocks, mood disorders, and processing trauma through polyvagal-informed EMDR, IFS, CBT, and DBT.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help you better understand yourself, heal from past experiences, and develop practical tools for lasting change.

I most enjoy working with adults who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. My practice is especially welcoming to LGBTQ+ individuals, creatives, writers, artists, and professionals navigating anxiety, OCD, ADHD, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, or creative blocks.

I especially enjoy helping clients who feel stuck, whether because of anxiety, OCD, trauma, ADHD, perfectionism, or major life transitions. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning on the outside but internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about how to move forward.

My therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe healing happens through a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, understood, and accepted exactly as they are.

Sessions with me are relaxed, supportive, and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation rather than an interrogation. We’ll work together to understand what’s keeping you stuck while building the tools and confidence to move forward.

Over time, I hope clients leave therapy with more than just symptom relief. My goal is for them to develop a deeper understanding of themselves, greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges, and practical tools they can rely on long after therapy ends.

Outside of therapy, I love spending time writing, getting lost in a good book, hiking, and dancing. These activities help me stay grounded, curious, and connected to the things that bring me joy.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like one of the hardest first steps, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Meaningful change is possible, and I’d be honored to be part of your journey toward healing, growth, and a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
