Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Hi, I’m Rosalie. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a background spanning more than 20 years in engineering, technology, consulting, and entrepreneurship. I now work in private practice, integrating my clinical training with a systems-oriented perspective to support adults navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, burnout, relationships, and life transitions.
I help clients understand the patterns that keep them stuck while also paying attention to what is happening beneath insight alone. Together, we explore how past experiences, relationships, the nervous system, and the stories we carry shape what happens in the present. My approach brings together mind, body, and story to create more awareness, flexibility, and choice in how clients respond to themselves, others, and the challenges they face.
I especially enjoy working with adults and young adults who are thoughtful, curious, and interested in understanding themselves more deeply. This includes young adults discovering who they are, professionals navigating pressure or transition, and first-generation and multicultural clients exploring identity, belonging, relationships, and family expectations. I’m also drawn to people who may appear capable on the outside while carrying more internally than others realize.
I frequently work with anxiety, trauma and the lasting effects of difficult experiences, grief and loss, burnout and chronic stress, relationship and attachment patterns, life transitions, and questions of identity and belonging. I also support clients navigating family and cultural expectations, self-doubt, overthinking, and the pressure to keep functioning even when something isn’t working.
My style is warm, collaborative, curious, and engaged. I balance reflection and depth with practical attention to what is happening in the present. I’m trauma-informed and somatically oriented, and I tend to be active in the room rather than simply listening. I’ll offer observations, ask questions, and help clients notice patterns with curiosity rather than judgment.
I want clients to feel understood, respected, and comfortable bringing their full selves into the room. I hope they feel supported without feeling judged or managed, and challenged when it is useful. Over time, I want therapy to become a place where they can be curious about themselves, make sense of what they are experiencing, and feel more able to trust their own responses and choices.
Sessions are conversational, thoughtful, and collaborative. We may slow down to notice what is happening in the moment, make connections to earlier experiences or relationships, or explore a pattern from a different perspective. I’m engaged and active in the process, while leaving room for you to set the pace. There can be depth and emotion, but also humor, curiosity, and moments of lightness.
Over time, I hope clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and greater trust in their own experience. I want them to become better able to notice what is happening in the moment, understand the patterns and protective responses that shape their lives, and have more choice in how they respond. Ultimately, I hope they feel more connected to themselves, more flexible in relationships, and freer to make choices that reflect who they are becoming rather than only what they have learned to do.
Outside of therapy, I love traveling and experiencing new places, cultures, and ways of living. I’m naturally curious, and some of my favorite experiences have come from being somewhere unfamiliar, learning as I go, and seeing the world from a different perspective.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You may understand a great deal about yourself already, or you may simply know that something isn’t working the way you want it to. Wherever you’re starting from, we can begin there. My hope is to offer a space where you can be curious about yourself, understand what has shaped you, and discover what you want to carry forward and what you may be ready to do differently.
